These daytime services have really grown in the last few months
and we receive so many requests from customers to run later
into the evening and seven days a week. We were planning these
enhancements for the new year, but brought our plans forward to
start in the busy run up to Christmas.
With our expanding fleet we are now
looking at all of our services to see where improvements could
be made to give people a better choice of value for money
public transport running at convenient times.
There are also slight route and
timetable changes to premiere NottsBus services 4, 5, 6, 53 and
63 from next Monday.

Bus services in Rushcliffe will take on a new
look from this month following recent contract awards by
Nottinghamshire County Council. Much of the village bus network
in the Rushcliffe is funded by the County Council and with the
contracts up for renewal this year an opportunity presented
itself to review and improve the services offered.
The successful bidders for these contracts were local bus
operators Premiere Travel and Trent Barton, both of whom
already operate a number of services in these areas.Ten new or
revised routes, several with improved frequencies and
additional evening services, will offer residents a much better
bus network with links to essential facilities such as shops
and healthcare.
Councillor Richard Jackson said: I am delighted that our
support for the bus network in Nottinghamshire is being so
clearly demonstrated at this early stage of our term in office
and am sure that this will continue.
The new bus services will provide links to Nottingham, West
Bridgford and QMC for residents in the outlying villages in
Rushcliffe, as well as to shops and services in Keyworth,
Cotgrave and Bingham.

X9 Nottingham to Loughborough Direct
A direct bus service due to be axed in the summer has been
saved by Premiere. Arrivas 99, which runs from Loughborough to
Nottingham, was due to end on July 13th. This service along the
A60 is the only bus route serving villages such as Bunny,
Bradmore and Costock. But now local bus operator Premiere,
based on Meadow Lane in Nottingham, has stepped in to provide a
replacement service.
Premieres new X9 will follow the same route from Broadmarsh Bus
Station along the A60 to Loughborough. It is the quickest and
most direct bus route and after arriving in Loughborough buses
extend to Ashby Road just near Loughborough University
campus.
Buses will still run every hour during the daytime, Monday to
Saturday.
Premiere Managing Director Steve Greaves said: When we heard
that Arriva were withdrawing their 99 route we did some
research to see if it would be viable to continue. Some of the
departures looked quite busy so we have decided to add this
important route to our growing local bus service network
The company will market the service as the fast X9 and
premieres discounted weekly and 10trip tickets will be
available.
